Especially given our historic issues with being priced-out of our own areas, resulting in the removal (in some cases) entirely of some Welsh-speaking communities.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! <3Cee Arr @ Dora Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04074909561530525221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904551567804562350.post-6044708778938773942022-04-18T16:32:42.988+01:002022-04-18T16:32:42.988+01:00I didn’t realize that was happening in Wales. Greenwashing is awful. Reforestation (planting trees) *is* good - when it's done right, and not used as carbon offsetting. We can't plant enough trees to cover the amount of carbon we're using, and companies really need to stop pretending we can.

Ha, indulgences is just what always springs to mind when I hear some fancy-pants hedge-fund is trying to cover their butts by planting trees ;)Cee Arr @ Dora Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04074909561530525221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904551567804562350.post-62866856575282015422022-02-21T17:12:18.609+00:002022-02-21T17:12:18.609+00:00I remember a trend going around on social media ab...I remember a trend going around on social media about a year ago, where a company said that if instagram users reposted their post on their page, for every repost they would plant a tree. My instagram feed was filled with people reposting this post, but I had the same thoughts:
1. Who's to say this company was actually going to plant trees and this isn't just for exposure?
2. Would planting trees even do much?

I really enjoyed this post, Cee because it does address a lot of my suspicions. I also loved the comparison to the Catholic Church. My history knowledge came in handy with that haha! paperbackprincesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07446601964387517150noreply@blogger.com
