And rehabilitation and edication have been shown again and again to reduce the risk of re-offending.

It won't bring Amanda Champion back, but then, nothing will. Isn't it better that her killer make a positive contribution to society than be left in prison, at cost to the proverbial tax-payer, with no hope or incentive to change?

I think that people *deserve* the *oppurtunity* to do good, to be happy (yes, even a lot of convicted murderers, although I know a lot of people would disagree with me,) and to turn their lives around.Cee Arr @ Dora Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04074909561530525221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904551567804562350.post-15739782006942177142019-12-12T18:18:39.214+00:002019-12-12T18:18:39.214+00:00This is a tough topic. Many turn their lives around and become wonderful additions to our society, not that their contributions get the same level of publicity though. Wouldn't it be so much nicer if the mainstream media focused on good actions instead of perpetually chasing the disaster tales?Stephanie Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16071958445763105060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904551567804562350.post-23292606659260495202019-12-02T15:52:27.977+00:002019-12-02T15:52:27.977+00:00*hugs* It's awful - but it's not a reason ...*hugs* It's awful - but it's not a reason to give up on people! <3Cee Arr @ Dora Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04074909561530525221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904551567804562350.post-55482414663542183662019-12-01T14:18:21.201+00:002019-12-01T14:18:21.201+00:00This was all very shocking for me because I was li...This was all very shocking for me because I was literally there a month ago.
