Although, just because someone is ill and may be being mean due to medication (steroids are the worst) doesn't mean you need to lie down and take it. Of course, you also don't need to snap and turn on them, because 9/10 times it isn't them. Talking and finding a balance - even if it means airing grievances to each other - can really help.
