June kind of flew by!

Partly because I was super-busy! Which is also why I (once again) posted less here than I wanted to.

I did manage to post a review though! Woo! I can still call myself a book blog! (Lol.) 😅

Friday Fics Fix - Fish Tanks and Music Boxes

I love Agents of SHIELD - in particular I love Fitz and Simmons (known as FitzSimmons).

This is partly because they're smart, partly because they're sweet, and partly because they're British but NOT the villains!

Friday Fics Fix - Murder House Party!

If there's one thing that Netflix has got me obsessed with as much as Umbrella Academy, it's American Horror Story.

Friday Fics Fix - Blasting Off Again!

I was a 90s kid (and I do mean 'kid,' I was v. smol!) so inevitably I watched the hell out of the original Pokémon TV series.

It was weird, random, probably a little bit cliché... and pretty much every kid watched it!

May was another month of ups-and-downs.

Such is life - we just keep moving after all!

Things are starting to kind of improve depression-wise, if you squint and turn your head a bit, so... that's good!

Friday Fics Fix - Dream Girl, Outta This World

I love the Supergirl TV series.

I also absolutely adore the Supergirl characters, Brainy and Nia Nal.

And I ship the thing, SO HARD. Lol.

Friday Fics Fix - In 2009, There Was a Girl Named Jennifer Check

'Because there is blood. And there is black stuff all over the floor.

And Jennifer is eyeing her like a dog does a bone, paws twitching and lips being licked.'

A decade ago, there was a film about two high school girls. And one of them ate boys.

And because it was unapologetically about Queer girls (this film is so Gay,) and because it was at least ten years ahead of its time, it was hated by critics and went unnoticed by the public for too long.

I've seen reviewers (mainly dudes, might I add,) talk sh** about it recently, of course, but the fact remains: this film is a f**king Queer Classic!

Friday Fics Fix - What Is Dead May Never Die

Game of Thrones after many long, long years, is coming to an end.

We have one episode left - only one.

But if the Harry Potter fandom has taught us anything, it's that fanfiction will continue, long, long after the end of the series.

Month in Review(s) - April 2019

April - well, April didn't have any work-related nose-bleeds, for a start!

Thanks to everyone for asking if I was ok, etc, last month - honestly I think you guys were a lot more worried about it than I was 😅

On the one hand, April had Easter and chocolate and spring flowers, and all that awesome stuff!

Y'know, lots of fun stuff to enjoy and smile about! 😊

If you haven't heard of it, then I'm not angry, just disappointed (not in you - in Society in general! 😅)

Friday Fics Fix - Is This A Family Or A War-Zone?

Fanfiction is brave, it's bold, and it's not scared to tackle the tough subjects.

This Umbrella Academy fic is about Klaus (big surprise, lol) - who you may or may not realise is my total fave character, and a Queer Queen with mental health issues. (Basically: he rocks.)

This fic also really refuses to back down when it comes to the tough stuff!

March was blood, sweat, and tears.

...literally!

March was a month in which I worked my a** off (no change there then!) and learned that apparently when my body's decided I've worked too much, it gives me a spike of Anxiety and a nose-bleed.

I f**k you not.

Month in Review(s) - February 2019

February was... OK.

Look, I'd love to say it was great. But my Depression has been kind of up-and-down.

So I can't honestly call it 'great' - but 'ok' is fairly accurate.

I survived it. I even enjoyed some of it. So 'ok' is what I'm gonna call it.
