Comics Wrap-Up - Miss Atomic Bomb

Film Trailers and Films

I'm actually gonna give you some slightly older trailers for two based-on-comics films I've seen over the past two weeks*

*Yes, two films in two weeks. I bought a year cinema pass, so I literally go there every week; after the first 20 films, it's paid for itself.

And I've seen like 24 or 25 now. If you're a movie fan, maybe look at similar deals where you are? #BudgetTipsWithCee - lol! ;)

First up, we have Atomic Blonde, which I saw on Monday.

This film is AWESOME!!!! We have a killer female spy, and an f/f love interest. The fights are rough and realistic.

I have no idea why this film's been getting mediocre reviews from so-called 'critics' - probably for the same reason a dude in one of the rows in front sat through a dozen gory deaths, but left the cinema when two girls started kissing. #JustSaying.

Look, if you're not into violent films, skip it. If you don't mind violence (looking at you, Game of Thrones fans,) then it rocks.

Don't believe me? Check out the trailer:

Warning: VIOLENCE, sexy-times, flashing images.

Film content warnings (spoilers in white type with square brackets []): VIOLENCE, sexy-times, murder, [violent death of a queer female character. ]

The second film I'm gonna talk about is Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.*

*Alternative titles include 'Valerian and the Stupidly Long Title,' and 'Laureline Kicks A** and Takes Names,' (not really - I made those up.)

The trailer for this REALLY doesn't do the film justice - this is a great film. I have no idea why it's struggled so much at the box office. It rocks.

And Cara Delevingne - a sexually fluid actress in a leading role!!!!! - is actually an awesome actress. :)

Anyway, check out the slightly off trailer, but realise that this film is a lot more amazingful than it seems:

Warning: flashing images

Film content warnings (spoilers in white type with square brackets []): massacre of (fictional race of) indigenous peoples, violence, v. mild sexy-times, [violent death of black female sex worker.]

Other Stuff

Honest Trailers made a Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol 2 vid!

And as much as I loved that film, you gotta laugh at Honest Trailers!

Warning: MAJOR spoilers, flashing images, adult humour.

  1. I wish we had something like a movie pass where I live! Movies get so expensive sometimes, and that would be really beneficial.
