Friday Fics Fix - #AroAceJugheadOrBust

In the interests of fanfiction fulfilling what mainstream media refuses to represent, I went looking for some aroace Jughead fics.

Firstly I have to point out that I have limited knowledge of Archie Comics or Riverdale - as far as I'm aware, we don't even get that programme here (the UK.)







BUT, I do know that in the comics, Jughead is aroace, and touch-averse. It's canon.

Month in Review(s) - March 2017

March was difficult, guys.

My depression has not been good, and I had an awful cold.

So, between the two, my concentration was utterly shot. I also had a lot of work on, which I had to prioritise. (Because I need money.)

The result of those factors was that I only wrote/published two reviews in March (granted, I did publish plenty of other posts too.)

I have to admit that, as my own worst critic, I'm kind of disappointed.

Nerd Church - Brexit: What the Actual F**k?

The wheels of Brexit have turned further.

And I'm angry. Yes, downright angry. Because my future - our futures - have been ripped away from us.

I think I'm as angry now as when the referendum results first came through.

Seriously. Because not only is this country going ahead with this f**king stupidity, but people are still insisting that it's a good thing.

Friday Fics Fix - Mr Scamander

Once again, my nerdlets, I bring you a great piece of #ownvoices fanfiction.

Fanfiction is often the place where diverse stories can find a voice - which isn't always possible in mainstream media.

This fic is awesome. It's heart-wrenching, heart-breaking, but also spirit-lifting.

I really need to watch the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, because this new trailer for #2 has confirmed that me and Rocket Raccoon are well-matched personality-wise.

(Which is quite worrying, when you think about it...)
