Month in Review(s) - July 2017

July was a big month for this little book nerd's blog!

This was the month that Diary of a Reading Addict (DORA) became Dora Reads - with a custom URL to match.

It's something that'd been on my mind for a while, and I'm so glad I did it!

This was also the month with the most page-views I have ever had, with over 11k views in ONE MONTH!!!!

A lot of that is down to my new source of traffic, StumbleUpon, which has given me soooo much traffic!

I couldn't previously share my posts to this platform, because it doesn't accept .blogspot.com or .wordpress.com sites. It was a big surprise when I realised just how much traffic I can get from there!

Review posts this month:

Adult

Graphic Novels

    1. You totally should! It's important to stumble other people's posts as well though, so that the system doesn't see you as spam.

  4. I've just been and read 'I know you mean well' (I frequently worry I'm one of these people! My friend had a transgender boyfriend and I never spoke about it really. It was none of my business and it made no difference to me, so what can you say?) and 'Victims of the System' - so scary at how badly the system let down BOTH girls. My friend works in mental health and a lot of people are terribly under cared for.

Congratulations on the custom domain and pageviews! I did wonder why I could never stumble your previous posts.

    1. People do appreciate efforts to understand & accept - but thinking before you speak is a must! I am in no way an expert in transgender issues, but basically don't ask prying questions, and try to think of things from other people's perspectives, and you should be fine!

And yes, the system has so many demands on it that it ends up failing so many people! *sighs*

Thank you so much! (And thanks for checking out some of my other posts!) :)
