'“Alright kiddie, time for you to open your eyes… you’re really starting to freak me out.” he tapped Peters cheek lightly. “C’mon lets see those brown eyes, I know you got them.”
After another minute of face tapping and Tony hyperventilating, Peter opened his bloodshot, unfocused eyes, and gazed blearily up at his mentor.'
Let's indulge in the cuteness of Tony Stark being a parent-figure to Peter Parker this week, shall we?
Because I really wanted him to be more fatherly and less of a hypocritical douche in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
And because Tom Holland as Peter Parker is the right mix of cute, awkward, and awesome.
OK, so maybe this is some Mindless Self Indulgence ('never wanted to DANCE with nobody but you...' No? Just me and my misspent youth? Ok) but that's kind of what fanfiction is for 😉
Fanfiction, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, is a fantastical way to explore the parts of the films, books, etc., that we love, with a freedom that mainstream stuff just doesn't have.
Which means we have the time (and the will!) to look into all the emotional ooey-gooey stuff of the parent-child relationship between Tony and Peter.
(And maybe even show some growth! Heaven forbid! 😉)
'“I’m not going to leave you Peter.” He reached one of his hand over to Peters face to wipe away the tear. His eyes closed again.
“You… you’re...safe…safe man…” he trailed off, asleep at last.
Tony sighed. Is this what kids do? Puke all over your floor, then make your heart melt in your chest? Gross.'
Not that there's no drama in this fic - there definitely is.
(Fangirling notes: the feels are extreme fandom-related emotions that get you right in the ever-loving heart!)
Like, so many poor cupcake Peter related feels in this fic!
This week's fic is:
