Month in Review(s) - July 2018

Where did July go?!

Like... I know sometimes time goes quick, but really?!

I think it's the heat.

I spent most of the month slouching around the house, trying to cool down, and being a generally not-nice person to be around.

Me + heat = grump monster! Lol.

So yeah - the main thing about July was that it was too f**king hot!

I'm hoping that it doesn't heat up again any time soon.

The Northern Hemisphere is literally burning, and Trump and all the other climate-change denying a**holes need to wake the f**k up and get a goddamn clue!

In better news, my grandmother is once again out of hospital!

At the moment, she's doing OK (fingers crossed!) and is back to dancing around the house, so that's definitely a good sign!

Thanks to everyone who's sent me support and love over the past few months, and thanks so much to everyone who's read my post on Parkinson's - if you haven't checked it out yet, please do, it means a lot!

In blogging-ness, I took part in a roundtable Q&A over at Poetry Books YA this month on negative reviews.

Check it out if you can and send Dani some love!

  1. Totally agree with you on this heat! It is absolutely ridiculous and I was so happy that my local news the other day took the time to explain that this is all because of climate change. This has to stop.

  2. The heat makes me a monster, too. I can’t concentrate when my clothes are stuck to my body. I’m glad your grandmother is doing okay. I hope you have a good August!

    1. OMG YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED THAT'S GREAT!!!!

Yeah... my nan was in hospital from early March until mid-June; snow on the ground when she went in, and boiling hot when she came out. Then in early July she fell and had to go in again for two weeks. I'm so happy she's out and doing better! If you haven't read my Parkinson's post, please do. :)

    1. Would that be over on Poetry Books YA by any chance? ;)

I'm older than I look, I basically haven't changed since I was 15! Lol. Blonde?! No! Stereotypical Welsh looks here! ;) And thanks, good to know that you like my appearance better than some random blonde chick your head put together ;) <3

    3. Ha, I actually got asked whether I wanted a child's ticket at the cinema a few months back. It really doesn't help that I'm only a little over 5ft, lol.

And sometimes you just need random fruit! Like that guy in the back of Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag video who just shakes fruit for no reason! ;)

I hope it cools down too - I'm not made for these temperatures!!!

No worries, your health comes first :) <3
