Comics Wrap-Up - There's Always Something Different Going On

comics wrap-up title image with manga-style woman handing her living shadow a flower

We got both Marvel and DC stuff this week! Woo! Trailers and superheroes and all that jazz! 😎

Let's do this!

Film Trailers

OK, first things first! Yesterday (up-to-date news here, dearest nerdlets!) we got the first trailer for JOKER.

(As in, the Batman villain. We all caught up? Ok.)

...I'm not sure about it.

I don't even know why, really.

Maybe because, of all the versions of the Joker I've seen this seems... too tame? Too real? Too... *whispers* pretentious...?

I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Anyway, what do I know?! Enjoy the trailer! 👍😎

(Warning: mild flashing images, mental health stigma.)

dividing line

Another li'l Captain Marvel trailer dearest nerdlets!

And this one celebrates the 'cultural event' that is Brie Larson as Carol Danvers! 😊

TV Trailers

Marvel released this Agents of SHIELD clip in preview of the last season!

If you're up to date with the show, it's like: dun-dun-DUUUUN! If you're not then this probably makes no sense to you 😎😉

(Warning: flashing images)

Other Stuff

Aidan Gallagher (the scary-talented kid from Umbrella Academy,) has confirmed that Season 2 of Umbrella Academy has been OK'd by Netflix!

My fangirling heart is happy! 😄😄😄

(Warning: flashing images)

dividing line
DC has said 'Happy 80th Birthday Batman!' with this vid featuring actors in DC movies/TV shows, DC comics people, and some random other acting-types that they managed to grab hold of!

It's OK - but it does go on a little too long. #JustSaying

(Run-time: 3.04)

  1. Still haven’t seen Captain Marvel, but I do wonder why they keep releasing trailers for it if it’s already out. That kinda confuses me!

    1. Ha, marketing, I think - if they can say something's already popular, then more people want to see it. People are attracted to things which are already popular (strange but true!) :)
