Since my To-Be-Read (TBR) list is continually growing, from time to time I like to throw together a list focussing on some of the (often diverse) titles on there.

I’m still struggling to figure out what the hell this one is about exactly… it seems to be kind of mysticky sci-fi-y with angels and demons, only they’re like evolved/devolved angels and demons??? Or something???
Don’t get me wrong — it actually looks quite interesting. But everything I read about it is just making me more and more confused, lol.
Reviews seem to have a marmite relationship with this book (i.e. love or hate,) but they all seem to agree that it’s weird AF (and you all know I’m always here for weird AF!)
And the author is Queer and there’s at least one Queer character, which is always a plus.

Only Azael can’t really remember much, and Lexi wishes she couldn’t (and her mother and her lawyer apparently want her to keep shtum about the details.)
Looks like this one has a lot of intriguing things around justice and memory (…and the impact of drugs on memory,) — could be a good one.
To Pieces by Kati Rocky
Another YA novel, this is about a girl called Jane who has her first Bipolar episode, and, while in a manic phase, attempts to start a revolution at her high school — something she’s mortified by when she comes down from the high.
From the blurb, it seems like the book handles the subject well, and hopefully it meets expectations.
I understand the rationale to past-Cee adding this one, even though I don’t remember where I heard about it — I’ve had close family members with Bipolar, and my own struggles with mental health.
I’m not sure I’ll be emotionally ready to read anything that deals in-depth with Bipolar for a while, for personal, (i.e. trauma,) reasons, but I’m glad this is on my list.
