Black Panther won a few BAFTAs! (BAFTAs = the British version of the Oscars) Albeit in mostly technical categories.
I don't know why people see technical categories as 'minor' awards though - like, dude, people work hard on that sh**!

I totally wish there was more attention to technical film awards. People don’t realize that a movie would not be a movie with just the a-list actor and famous director. I am really annoyed that the Oscars this year decided to announce the more technical awards during commercial breaks. Everyone deserves recognition and for it to be aired!
