A decade ago, there was a film about two high school girls. And one of them ate boys.
And because it was unapologetically about Queer girls (this film is so Gay,) and because it was at least ten years ahead of its time, it was hated by critics and went unnoticed by the public for too long.
I've seen reviewers (mainly dudes, might I add,) talk sh** about it recently, of course, but the fact remains: this film is a f**king Queer Classic!
Those of us who watched it as teenagers? The Queer girls who were drawn to this tale of horror? We're in our 20s now.
And I think it's about time we brought Jennifer's Body the attention it deserves.

I do also love how very, very, 2009 it is.
Like, you forget how random the 00s were until you see them on film!
So, in my quest to give Needy Lesicki and Jennifer Check their rightful place in the cultural consciousness, I have a Jennifer's Body fic for you.
What's great about this fic is that it's almost a love-letter to the film.
So if you're familiar with the greatness that is this movie, then you can just wallow in the Jennifer's-Body-ness of it all...

...And if you're not familiar with this masterpiece (yes, I f**king went there!) then hopefully it'll get you curious enough to watch the original.
I will admit that it's not a perfect film though.
And there's also a lot of gore and a heavy sexual assault/rape subtext - so be aware of that if it's something that affects you.
This fic, I should add, has some mild sexual content.
So - that's your warning, I guess!

Ha, probably not. It's not as bad as, say, something like Saw, but it's still gory!
