Micropoetry - April 2020

I realise it's the 20th of May, but I have a very limited sense of space/time and a lack of organisation so... *shrugs*

OK, here's the micropoetry I wrote in April.

...And for some reason in April my brain decided to produce Haikus. I don't even know, tbh.

As always, for those using screen-readers, the poetry is in the alt-text, with / marks to show line breaks.

7th April // In a world crammed full / Of soapboxes, be careful / Not to trip, my dear
dividing line
17th April // Helicopter blades / In the sky above our heads / The only noise here

If you like my poetry, why not pay the poet for the poetry?
(If you wanna, of course.)

Whaddaya think?

  1. I remember having to write haikus in school and loving doing them! These are great, Cee!

    1. I had a love/hate relationship with Haikus in school - I guess it was because I *had* to do them. I guess it's a lot more enjoyable when it's a choice not a requirement!

I'd love to be able to write Englynion one day - which is a type of Welsh/Cornish verse which has really strict rhyme & syllables & consonants, and should technically be written in Cymraeg or Kernewek. It's so complicated that for now I'm sticking to Haiku!

Thanks so much Em - sweet as always! <3
