It's Thursday, it's still 2020 - let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!

Everything I've got for ya this week is in the 'Other Stuff' category - as always, we'll blame this on Loki.

Other Stuff

Youtuber (Booktuber? I guess? - but he doesn't really have a 'Booktube' vibe) Dominic Noble made a review video for YA Transgender superhero novel Dreadnought by April Daniels.

(Warning: mild flashing images, discussions of Transphobia)

Run-time: 14.49

And since you know my weakness for a) video essays, b) superheroes, and c) Queer rep., a video which combines all those things is my Kryptonite (see what I did there? 😁😅)

So this epic video by The Rainbow in the Room is well worth the watch dearest nerdlets. It explains how all superheroes are Gay. YES, ALL OF THEM (Lol!)

It's appropriately titled 'WE COULD BE QUEEROES' and well, that's just awesome! 💃

(Warning: flashing images, violence, discussions of bigotry and persecution against LGBTQ+ people, adult humour, much swearing, SPOILERS for many superhero-y things!)

Run-time: 48.40

Have you read Dreadnought?

'Oh, we can beat them, forever and ever' is from Heroes by David Bowie (because it's been stuck in my head since I saw that video essay, and now it's stuck in your head too 😈😅💖)

  1. Omg I loved how at the end of this post you said that Heroes by David Bowie is stuck in your head, because as soon as I saw “We Could Be Queeroes” it immediately got stuck in my head too! The power of Bowie.
