Micropoetry - October + November 2021

Yes, I am well aware that it's nearly January 2022.

But, as there always seems to be, there's still some left-over house-keeping to do from 2021.

So here's the Micropoetry I wrote in October and November 2021.

And, as always, for those using screen-readers the poetry is in the alt-text of the images. It has / marks showing line breaks.

'I have your rings. / They don't fit / my fingers, / So I put them on a chain / around my neck. / It's hard to explain / how my too big fingers / made me feel so small.'
dividing line
'Yes, I am strong. / I am an ice crystal, nucleated around particles / A cohesive electrostatic hexagon / Formed by conditions you could not / possibly imagine /To make something new, something beautiful / So precious there is, can be, only one. / With luck you will see me before I'm gone'

Did you enjoy these?

  1. The first poem reminded me of the rings my sister and I inherited from our grandmother. Some of them don't fit, but it's nice to know that they're there. Great poems, Cee!

    1. Thanks Em! <3

I actually wrote it about rings I inherited from my Nan, just to sort through my feelings a little - so I'm glad it has the *waves hands vaguely* inheritance/grandparents vibe!
