I had a lot of Legends of Tomorrow (LoT) feelings this week...
...because it was CANCELLED! Argh!
I love this show. I'ma miss it so much - it's one of my faves dammit!!!! ðŸ˜
LoT is one of the CW's DC shows, which first started in 2016.
It stars a team of ragtag misfit superheroes, who travel through time (and sometimes space,) on their spaceship on a variety of missions that sometimes overlap with general magic and mayhem.
...And if that sounds bonkers, then congrats! LoT long ago accepted that everything about itself is bonkers, and thoroughly embraces it! Lol.
It's also always included a whole bunch of casually-Queer characters, and I love it! 😀😀😀
...But anyway, due to the whole 'devastating blow to my fangirling' thing, I've been reading a lot of LoT fanfiction.
Ironically, LoT fanfiction tends to be a lot less *waves hands* ...entirely batpoop... than the actual show 😅
(...it's such an awesome show. *sighs*)
This is a groupchat fic - i.e. a fic based solely on groupchat conversations.
It's a lot of fun - not least because John Constantine talks mostly in emojis, and refuses to use emojis the way everyone else does, which is 100% a thing that John Constantine would do 😅
I love the way the fic author here has given serious consideration to the way each team member would message - it's awesome.

The team set-up in this fic is circa season 5, I would say...

One of LoT's strengths is that it's been able to spend 7 series as an ensemble cast with an ever-changing roster of team-mates, and still maintain excellent distinctive character identites
- even between different versions of the same character - time-travel shenanigans!
