Never have I been tested so much by my 'if it's well-written, I must rec' rule...
...I genuinely didn't know whether to rec this fic.
Because it's so well-written.
...But everyone's gonna hate it. I even hate it a little bit.
And most of you probably shouldn't read it at all.

This is a The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (TFATWS) fic. It's also a horror novella.
It's a freaking excellent horror novella.
Like... this fic author has skills, and I am jealous.
This sees Bucky Barnes rejoin Brock Rumlow (aka his horrible Hydra ex-co-worker,) to confront something from their joint past.
...A soul-scarring incident where they were confronted with... something... in the woods.
Something horrifying.
Something bad enough to scare a brainwashed murder assassin and his handler.
Something they absolutely, 600%, did not tell Hydra about.
Something that's back.
Argh, I loved it. And I hated it.
...It's good horror, dearest nerdlets. It is good horror.
BUT - and I guess this is a SPOILER for the fic, but I think you 100% NEED to be aware of this:
The dog dies.
The dog dies horribly. And its graphic. And its disturbing.
...And I need you to know that, before reading it, so that no-one yells at me for rec'ing this fic.
Which is why I was hesitant to rec this.
I mean... most of you aren't gonna read this now, so what's the point of rec'ing, right?
Except it's good.
And its so well-written.
Like... I couldn't ignore that level of talent, y'know? (Please forgive me!)
