It's Thursday, somehow we have reached October, so let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!
Dora Reads is the book blog of a Bookish Rebel, supporting the Diversity Movement, bringing you Queer views and mental health advocacy, slipping in a lot of non-bookish content, and spreading reading to the goddamn world! :) (All posts may contain Amazon links, which are affiliate, unless marked otherwise. 'He had failed them.
He had failed all of them.'
I haven't rec'd The Umbrella Academy (TUA) in a while - which is strange but, *shrugs* sometimes that's just the way the fics fall, y'know?
Also there seems to be a very Five-centric trend in TUA fics atm (or at least the ones I've come across.)
Which I don't have any problem with (this week's fic is Five-centric,) but where is my Queer Queen Klaus?! (Lol.)
Blogging takes a lot of time and work.
I don't wanna be one of those 'poor me, blogging is so difficult' bloggers, because at the end of the day, if I didn't love it, I could find plenty of other ways to spend my time.
But bloggers do a whole lot more than you might think.
'He’s engulfed in the shadow of midnight wings. In the dim lantern light, Izzy examines the damage.'
Yes, I'm rec'ing an Our Flag Means Death (OFMD) fic for the second week in a row.
(You can check out last week's F3 here, if you want.)
It's just what the universe wanted, dearest nerdlets, what can I say? The blogger is beholden to the universe's whims 😅
So, this is the fic the universe gave me for this week.
I don't know why - presumably someone, somewhere, needs to read it. Which is weird, but we live in a weird world, and I was raised by hippies.
