Have I mentioned that 2023 hates me?
Because 2023 hates me.
I'm having the worst year. And that's saying something.
So. April sucked.
There was my neighbour's funeral, and caring for my ill family member - which is stressful af. There was also some bad news with one of my cats.

My beautiful boy-cat - the genuine light of my life - has dementia, and is not-so-slowly coming to the end of his beautiful life.
I cannot over-exaggerate how much this cat means to me.
I honestly thought he was going to leave us mid-April, poor boy was so ill.
But he somehow pulled around a bit, and we've been gifted a little more time with him - even though we don't know how much.
Meantime he can't really be left on his own in case he gets himself in trouble - you haven't proved your love until you've made yourself sing 'Don't Stop Believin' a million times so that your confused cat can pee or poop.
(Why Journey, I don't know. It just kind of happened, and now if he's getting stressed about bodily functions, we gotta play and sing Journey, idek. I'm so tired.)

I'm still standing.
Still working. Still trying not to overwork. Still hoping and dreaming and crying and struggling... life as usual, really 😅💪😉

ReplyDeleteLol, I love the 'Mr Kitty' ;) His name's Jango - no, I don't know why, it's the name he had when we got him.
DeleteAnd he def. knows he's loved! He's the most affectionate cat I've ever met, honestly. He's a cuddlebug - and all he wants is me at the moment. So yeah, it's beautiful - but also extremely wearing. He loves the whole family and the whole family loves him, but he's always been very much *my* cat, and so now all he wants, especially when he's confused, is to be with me and be held by me (and for me to help him with the whole toilet thing by singing Journey!)
