Micropoetry - November 2018

Ok, I know this is late, sorry, life kinda got in the way, but here it is: November's Micropoetry!

2 pieces for you this time round my dearest nerdlets!

(And maybe I should stop listening to so much Eminem... bit of an attitude here!)

As always, the poetry is in the alt-text of the graphics for those using screen readers 😊

5th November // Keyboard warrior? / Sure I am. / How else do you fight / in a battleground of bits and bytes? / A digital domain of opinions and pain; / In a world that forgets that before the guns, / before the knives, before the bombs, / are the words / and the thoughts / And the pixels on the page

dividing line
29th November // Here's your silver plate pal, / Wads of cash balled up on it / 'Stead of napkins. / All the connections. / Daddy's money to fall back on. / Whatcha ever done to earn it? / So don't tell me / Other people don't deserve it. / Take a look at yourself / And make sure you're worth it.

So, whatcha think?
Too much attitude? Not enough?
Talk to me! 😎💬

    1. Thank you! And I've def. been listening to too much Eminem! ;) Normally I listen to more heavy metal, punk, pop punk, etc., but this is clearly what happens when I switch it up for a while! Lol XD

  3. Ooh I really like the message behind the first one, and also the whole look with the picture you made. Of course the other is great too. I agree with the others about the rap vibes!

  4. Ooh, I love Eminem's music! I am a huge fan of rap - it's actually some of my favourite music and it helps so much with finding rhythm in poetry. I love the first one especially, and how it visually appeals and contributes to the subject matter as well!

    1. Thank you! :) And yeah, I'm not a huge fan of rap, but I've found some lately that I like, so I've been listening to it a lot! :)
