Our first She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer is here!
You may not know this but I am a huge She-Hulk fan - Jennifer Walters rocks! In the right hands, Jennifer is a feminist icon.
...Let's hope these are the right hands.
Because there are a couple of things which are concerning me in this trailer -
Firstly the CGI isn't great, let's be honest. It just isn't.
And secondly, some of this seems to step just a little too close to that thin line between sexy, and over-sexualised.
Jen is sexy. Sexy is fine - sexy is good. I'm more than happy for Jen to be sexy. (*fans self*)
But please, for the love of all that is holy, don't let them over-sexualise her!
I do love the way we're owning the 'she's Bruce Banner's cousin, just accept it,' thing!
She-Hulk is very much from the era of comics where the female-counterpart-style heroes usually had to be related in some way to the male 'original.'
It's so entrenched in her character that ignoring it (as contrived as it is as an origin story,) just wouldn't have worked.
And this way we get Mark Ruffalo, and Marvel gets the headache that is stopping Mark Ruffalo from leaking spoilers from a multi-part series. Everyone wins! Lol. 😁😅

Thanks for sharing my post, Cee! There's so much new Marvel content recently that I can hardly keep up. I really don't know much about She-Hulk so I suppose I don't have much of an opinion until I see the show. I do love Mark Ruffalo though!

I hope she Hulk is good and they don't go full cringe "yaaayy queen slay" route that gets repetitive fast.
