Month In Review(s) - November 2021

OK, this post is a bit later than I intended, but December's hectic at the best of times, so... let's just do this -

November - Tachwedd

November's over, and here I am standing in December wondering how we got to the end of 2021, when it feels like it never really got started in the first place.

This year's felt like the hangover after 2020, and never really moved past that.

Or is that just me? How has your 2021 been, dearest nerdlets?

November was migraine-y, for the most part.

So, I'm happy with what I managed to get done, without over-doing it (as I have a tendency of doing.)

(OK... maybe I over-did it a little on a few occasions, but for me that's like a record dammit!)

I've been really building up my Medium account for the last couple of months, and it's starting to show real improvement stats-wise and earnings-wise.

Don't worry though, dearest nerdlets, the vast majority of things I post on Medium have been previously published either here, or on Twitter, where there are no pay-walls/article limits.

The only real exception is posts that are actually about Medium - like this one about Medium's clap feature, and this one about my highest earning Medium post in November - and that's 'cos the place they're most of interest is Medium itself, ofc.

Which brings us to December's blogging schedule right here on Dora Reads.

As usual, I'm taking my chance to relieve some pressure over Christmas by reducing the amount of regular series posts I'm publishing this month.

So Friday Fics Fix and Nerd Church are both on break 'til January.

Comics Wrap-Up is not taking a break just yet - because I want to be able to shout about Hawkeye on Disney+. It might take a break in a month or two, to add more breathing room to my schedule.

In the meantime I'll be giving a go to my annual attempts at blog admin. and pre-scheduling content (...a girl can dream, I guess. And let's face it, stranger things have happened in the last 2-5 years 😅)

  1. Pre-scheduling content! Imagine such a world! I suddenly remembered there was a time in my life when I had blog posts scheduled a month out at all times. JUST IMAGINE. I could never do that in this economy.

I'm so sorry to hear that you had such a migrainey November! I was unprepared for December to arrive and am very unprepared for 2022, but I suppose I'll have to face it as it comes.

    1. Ha, so the rumours are true - it *is* possible to pre-schedule! Lol. It's still v. much a dream at this point.

Thanks, and yeah - I have no idea how we got to December *looks around in bewilderment* - here we are I guess! <3

    Ha! Great tagline.

I'm sorry you had to deal with migraines. I hope you're having a better month - and yeah, schedules are real. I schedule all the time LOL. For some, though, it only feels like added pressure. I guess it all hinges on knowing how much you can really accomplish in a month...

    1. No matter what I do, 85-90% of the time I end up writing most of the post the night before it goes live *face palms* <3

  3. Time seems to play tricks on me and I'm still in shock that we are STILL living through a pandemic. Now that the holidays are here, I'm getting that deep sadness again because we won't be gathering to see family this year either. I hope your December has gone well and that you find some relaxation time. Best wishes for 2022!
