Month in Review(s) - December 2020

(Warning: this post references Covid 19/Coronavirus, and the UK's institutional Transphobia)

I know this wrap-up is epically late.

Honestly, I considered combining it with January's 'Month in Review(s)' post, but I figure if 2021 is also going to be a sh**-show, it may as well be its own sh**-show, independent of the remnants of 2020.

So let's keep this super-brief because December 2020 was like forever ago!

Re: Covid - things are scary. It's hurting people I love.

Re: my Amazon Associateship - still pursuing avenues of resolution. For the time being, please DO NOT use my Amazon links to purchase items from Amazon UK, ONLY use them for Amazon USA.

Hopefully by the end of February, I'll either have the result I want, or I'll feel vindicated in giving you all the full story.

Re: Christmas - I love Christmas. Thank whatever cosmic entities you believe in that I had Christmas to cling onto this year!

Re: Trans Rights in the UK - December saw the access of kids to Transgender healthcare (specifically to puberty blockers) unfairly and severely hindered in the UK.

Puberty blockers pause a kid's puberty (clue's in the name,) which gives them time to explore their gender identity without their body developing in ways that they find distressing.

They are only presecribed in cases where it's deemed appropriate, they have been safely used for decades, and they are a reversible treatment.

Please consider supporting Mermaids and Stonewall - organisations determined to stand up for the rights of Trans people, and to protect Trans kids.

  1. I don’t think I have much good news from last year. Or this year. It’s been stressful! I’m glad you had a good Christmas. I love Christmas and go all-out on celebrating. I guess that’s my good news! Christmas was awesome.

  2. As far as good news goes, all my family members who had to be tested for COVID came back negative. Also my sister gave me a stuffed baby Yoda for Christmas and that is good news in my opinion! Take care of yourself, Cee. I wish you all the good news in 2021 :)

    1. Awesome Em! :) That is good news. Same to you - all the best for 2021 :)
